Dr. Bernee C. Dunson

Dr. Bernee Dunson has been in private practice since 1996 in Atlanta.  Dunson Dental Design can best be described as a comprehensive general practice that focuses on aesthetic dentistry and implant reconstruction.  Dr. Bernee Dunson received his Bachelor of Science and Biology with honors at Morehouse College.  He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, completed a general dentistry residency at Columbia University at Harlem Hospital followed by a three year implant residency at Loma Linda University.  Dr. Dunson is an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.


Dr. Dunson served as a faculty member at the Georgia Health Sciences Maxicourse® (Medical College of Georgia) for 10 years.  He is the director of the Washington D.C. (Mid-Atlantic) AAID Maxicourse® and currently serves on the faculty for the following Maxicourses®:  Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Iran, India and Abu Dhabi.   Dr. Dunson is the Past-Chairman and an examiner of the Admissions & Credentialing Board of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Vice Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Education Oversight committee and currently serves as the President-Elect of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.   He served on the examiner panel of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.  In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  Dr. Dunson has published several well-received articles on dental implantology.  He is also an article reviewer for “Journal of Oral Implantology” and an associate editor of “International Journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry”.  Additionally, he is continuously seeking new opportunities to expand his knowledge base in order to bring the most effective and leading edge treatment to his patients.
