  • Safe administration of IV Dental Sedation

  • Assessing patient suitability

  • Nation, state, and dental board regulations and requirements

  • Agonist-antagonist effects and pharmacokinetic properties of commonly used sedative agents

  • Medical emergencies and resuscitative efforts

  • Managing the airway using basic and advanced equipment and techniques

  • Effective use of monitoring, pharmaceuticals, and rescue equipment
